Matt called it an absolute waste of money and time, especially given how strong the source material is; he and Jeff grew up playing Street Fighter II Turbo and think the roster of characters is unique enough to have supported a fun film or franchise. Instead he found the movie underwhelming start to finish, and was particularly frustrated that it ends on a cliffhanger setting up a sequel he doubts, given the film's reception, will ever get made. He gave it one out of five and said he wouldn't watch it again without being paid to. Jeff skipped it in theaters after hearing Matt's review.
