Matt
Matt saw it in theaters. Brad Pitt plays a Green Beret veteran whose small plane crashes in the Alaska wilderness after he has a heart attack, and he has to hike out with his combat dog, Odin, over fifty or sixty miles. Matt found it beautiful to look at, essentially a travelogue for Alaska's scenery, and genuinely respectful toward veterans and the dogs that serve alongside them, but light on plot and slow for its runtime. J.K. Simmons shows up for a stretch that could have gone creepy but doesn't. Matt isn't a dog person, so the central bond didn't fully land for him, and he came away a little baffled by the film's high audience score given how little he felt actually happened. Three out of five, and not one he'd call rewatchable.
