Jeff walked in expecting something great because the reviews were so strong. It turned out to be mostly slapstick with no real plot to get behind. His theory is that the glowing reviews were partly people standing up against Warner Bros. for shelving it, and maybe there was a reason. He loves Will Forte, but this wasn't his best material.
Matt's defense of Jeff: watch a few of the original Road Runner cartoons and you already get the concept. You don't need a feature-length courtroom drama about it.
