As someone who hasn't loved Marvel's post-Endgame multiverse phase, Matt liked that Brand New Day moves away from it. It still deals with the consequences, but the focus is elsewhere, and the story moves along well. He enjoyed the more mature Peter Parker story, having the Hulk in the mix, and the new characters. His one regret is that the original supporting cast who brought the humor and chemistry to the first three films only get a handful of scenes, while the Punisher dominates the second and third acts. On rewatchability, he'd give it a three: something to put on in the background.

Jeff found it entertaining and easy to follow, even without the earlier films fresh in his mind. He didn't realize the character named Frank was the Punisher until reading reviews afterward. For him, a five would need more plot depth, something closer to an Oscar-worthy drama. As a fun movie, it earns a solid four, and it ends on quite a cliffhanger for Peter's personal life.
